Itu disampaikan oleh penjabat Bupati Boalemo Dr. Drs. Hendriwan, M.Si., saat membuka Festival Pesona Boalemo yang digagas oleh Dinas Pariwisata, turut dihadiri oleh Ketua DPRD Boalemo Karyawan Eka Putra Noho, Kapolres AKBP. Deddy Herman, Kajari Boalemo, Sekretaris Daerah Sherman Moridu, pimpinan OPD, para Camat, para Kepala Desa serta tokoh masyarakat, bertempat di wisata pantai bolihutuo Kecamatan Botumoito, Jumat (21/10/2022).
“Dalam Event kalender Festival Pesona Boalemo, salah satunya lomba perahu dayung tradisional dan lomba memancing, dapat meningkatkan pemahaman kita akan pelestarian terumbu karang serta mencegah ilegal fishing yang menggunakan Bom sebagai penangkap ikan yang pada akhirnya dapat merusak terumbu karang,” ungkap penjabat Bupati Hendriwan.
Sebagaimana diketahui, hampir sebagian besar kekayaan wisata di Boalemo kata Penjabat Bupati Hendriwan didominasi oleh kawasan wisata bahari atau laut, menjadi satu kebanggaan, dimana kawasan perairan dari semenanjung paguyaman sampai menanggu, memiliki keunggulan sebagai destinasi wisata dengan zona bahari.
Disamping itu lanjut penjabat Bupati Hendriwan, Boalemo berada pada poros kawasan Teluk Tomini, kawasan terbesar di Indonesia.
